WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PODIATRIST AND A CHIROPODIST?

The titles Chiropodist and Podiatrist are interchangeable, however Podiatry is the more modern term used. To use either title the clinician must be HCPC registered (like nurses) and hold a degree in podiatric medicine. Podiatrists provide a range of foot health service including nail surgery, verruca treatment, wound care and diabetic foot care

WHAT ABOUT COVID?

In Order to protect your health and maintain safety in our clinic we follow a robust COVID 19 policy in-line with guidance from Public Health England and The Royal College of Podiatry. 

HOW DO YOU TREAT INGROWING TOE NAILS?

Ingrowing toe nails are not only painful but can result in infection and limit your day-to-day activities.


Following an initial consultation which includes a full assessment your podiatrist will discuss the best treatment option for you which may include a partial or full toenail surgery in our specialist clinic. This procedure is performed under local anaesthetics and includes two follow-up appointments and post-operative advice.
